I came today expecting to work on the project we finished yesterday, or at least, adding more to that particular program.

Today I learned about Comic Life. I would really like to use this program to sent up some pages for my son's engagement party and his wedding. I could also pick up some of the pictures taken of my family to put into neat books for the entire family for Christmas.

The best part of today is just talking with one another gathering ideas for the use of all the tools we now have.

For my curriculum, hmmmmmm. I will have to digest all we have worked with, think about what I am going to be doing, and then look out.

I came today to learn about Tanya's favorite tool (iComic) and now I can see why she likes it so much. It is so versatile and can be used in lots of curriculum areas (even FACS). Personally I like the idea of scrapbooking since I have little time to do the traditional kind. This tool is really quick if you have photos scanned or in your library. Sarah Short does a section on scrapbooking and journaling combination in one of her classes and this might be an alternative for her to present to her class. I would just like to be able to bounce some ideas off of others because usually someone can look objectively at what you want to do or give you another way to look at it or an idea to include with what you are doing. Students if engaged also do this in class. And I guess what impresses me the most is that the district is willing to give us some neat tools that will help us to implement what we have learned about. Thanks so much.

I came hoping to help others learn about comic life. I learned even more about the program as I watched and worked with others. The best part of today was seeing the excitement about technology and teaching, even in summer! I have several ideas of ways I can use comiclife in my classroom.

Today I came expecting to finish up our project from yesterday. I had no idea the goodies we would be getting!! It was like Christmas! We learned about Comic Life (which is sooo cool!) and we got a camera, scanner and microphone. WOW!!!! I think Comic Life will be so great for me in my classroom. It will really allow my students to be creative in their writing and can also give them a template or "flow" for their thinking.

WOW! This was a fun and interesting day! I really enjoyed Tanya's presentation of United Streaming and the new look. I have used the filing system in the past, but this new version seems to work much easier--the sharing part is cool. I really hope to have a way for students to access this site.
Today I learned how Comic Life might be useful for presenting information in my classroom. Also, Craig's presentation on iStill helped me understand more of how students might be able to use this and the iStop applications within a class period of 45 minutes.
Thanks for all the cool tools! They will be a great addition for my classroom.

I came today expecting to learn how to use ComicLife. I knew it would be cool, but I had no idea it would be so easy to use.

I learned how easy ComicLife is to use!

The best part of today was using ComicLife to make some cute pages with pictures of my daughter! :)

I would use Comic Life in the library to make book advertising posters (a print book talk) and informational posters (citing sources, suggested sources for current research projects, etc.)

What can you do to help? Not sure yet, I will have to use it some more before I figure out what I need! :)

Day 2 I expeted more exciting ideas. I learned comic life and I can see lots of curriculum connections, especially with vocabulary and story retelling. The best part was getting the "tools"! It felt like Christmas!!!
